![]() You could slash it 20 times (it has 20HP) Or here's another example: A Thunderhog (healer vehicle) You could slash them twice, ignite (4 DOT), and slash two more times then just let them burn to death, that's 5 moves/hits, x4 razorgirls equals a total number of 20 moves/hits. You could slash each of them 8 times (1 slash=1HP, razorgirls have 8HP) for a total number of 32 hits Here's an example: A squad of razorgirls (4 of them) One ignite is equal to three-four hits depending on the unit. Igniting enemies (as long as there isn't a thunderhog around or ophelia hasn't played the heal solo) makes killing much faster. Not a single useful combo? That is beyond false. Originally posted by Hursti:basic and limited, as in you have very limited move sets, not a single useful combo (sure you can like lmb lmb rmb to ignite someone during your attacks, but why should you since the normal attacks are faster thus better dps?), the special attacks pretty much all feel lacklusterHow did I miss this post? I know this is a month late reply, but I feel the need to explain: That is what makes BL's multiplayer segment unique and original compared to other RTS's, where combat is just as important as strategy and battles can be just as tense as Sacrifice as you mention. I say you didn't even give it enough of a chance practicing on keys and mouse before saying "this other game is better".įor the RTS gameplay, as B Dawg put it, is a combat based RTS game where you, the avatar, must help your units fight using their double team abilities and of course avatar combat the other players avatar as well and following up what B Dawg said, Even if you aren't the best strategist, the players combat ability can be enough to squeeze out a win against a player who is better at strategy and is bad at combat. I feel like your giving that other game way too much credit for it's controls seeing as Sacrifice was designed for PC, unless it came out on the Dreamcast and/or PS2 back then which I don't know, Where BL was designed around consoles in 2009 and then ported to PC later.Īs for controls, while I certainly don't prefer mouse and keyboard I'll give you that, however, Brutal Legend is still playable to me even in multiplayer mode, it will just take practice and learning how to adjust to the keyboard that is all. You can fly around the entire map in 15 seconds and get from place to place qucikly. As for needing a mini map, that is a ridiculous thing to say when every map, with the exception of Crucibles, isn't really that big. Brutal Legend is a game that is unique and has it's own identity compared to most RTS games. Heres a "review" by totalbiscuit from quite a while ago, still relevant tho: but what can you do for a game from almost 20 years ago) oh, and sacrifice had absolutely terrific multiplayer mode also (which has been dead for YEARS now, so i guess the games have that in common too, lol. ![]() you might change your opinion about controls in 3rd person rts. its really, really good 3rd person rts, if anyone here actually likes the rts thing brütal legend has going on i implore you to try sacrifce out. Just noticed that sacrifice is on steam these days, wow. ![]() and i guess i felt it in practice while playing brütal legend. i shrudder at thought of playing rts with controller. theres 0 reason NOT to have mouse controls on units/formations etc on a pc rts game. if this was "made with console controllers in mind" i guess that's the problem, bad console port. so that's it for brütal legend being that "unique". it also features tim curry (among MANY other big names), has geyser like things you build your structures over that give you resources, just too many similarities to be coinsidence. you actually have pretty normal rts controls, WITH the 3rd person WASD thing. Have you played sacrifice? it was released in 2000, its a 3rd person rts, and ALOT better than this one.
